San Shi Judo Novice Tournament

San Shi Judo will be hosting a novice tournament for judoka ages 5-16 who hold the rank of orange belt or lower. The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 28th and will be held in Vista, CA. For more information click here.

Referee and Coaches Clinic

There will be a Nanka Referees and Coaches meeting and clinic on April the 10th at Tenri Dojo 129 N. Saratoga street, East L.A. to explain the New IJF contest rules. The Seminar will be conducted by Mr. Frank Morales, Vice chairman of USA Judo, referee commission and will be assisted by Hayward Nishioka. The clinic will begin at 12:30 and run for approximately three hours. It will include DVD examples, discussions, Q and A session, possible examples on the mat if time allows since the Nanka senior practice will be running concurrently in another room.

Not only referees and coaches are encouraged to participate but senior competitors as well. You don’t want to miss the information, travel hundreds of miles at great expense, only to lose because you didn’t know the new rules. Donation is $10.00. Make checks out to Nanka or cash.

April Yudanshakai Meeting

The next Yudanshakai meeting is scheduled for April 16th at 7:30 pm. We will be meeting at San Shi Dojo located at 150 Cedar Rd., Vista, CA 92083.

The promotion board will meet after the general meeting. All promotion forms must be received by Matt Ozaki prior to the meeting for consideration.

Migoto Judo Club is hosting their first tournament ~ Migoto Judo Championships ~ June 6 in Baldwin Park, CA. All USJF, USJI, USJA and USAJudo members are invited. We hope that all of our PSJA judoka will make an effort to attend.
